Month in Review(s) - April 2017

(Warning: this post discusses depression, and has brief references to suicidal thoughts.)

April started sh**ty for yours truly - as you'll know if you read my March wrap-up, I've been having depression problems again.

So March wasn't too good, and April started out not too good.

But I went to the doctor, who put my tablet dose up, and things are starting to look up.

I've only been on this new dose for just over a week... but man, I feel so much better. I hate it that people are so anti-meds. I'm still alive because of those tablets.

And I can think again.

When my depression's bad, it's a huge struggle to concentrate and think things through, as I've discussed before. So the reason I've not blogged as much lately is very much due to my depression problems.

It's frustrating - the way I've tried to describe it to my family is that it's like trying to find something in your house... when you've forgotten about the existence of the room that that thing is in.

Suddenly, I can remember the room again, and it's like, how did I ever forget it?

Maybe that's a random-a** metaphor, but *shrugs* meh.

One big thing this month blog-wise is that you can now support me and DORA on ko-fi.

That means you can buy me a coffee (metaphorically!) by giving a micro-donation of £3.00 - the price of an average coffee.

You can use the button below, or the button in the sidebar, to support yours truly :)

Reviews-wise, I reviewed four books this month, which you can see below:

Hope you all have a good May my dearest nerdlets! :)

  1. I'm glad you felt better this month and that your medication has been working out for you! Idk why people can't let others use what works for them without scrutinizing them.

  2. I'm so glad you're feeling better, Cee! And that your medication is working for you and has lifted the brain fog. I'm lucky in a way that my anxiety pushes through my brain fog, but it doesn't do it for any decent reasons. I'm still too up in the air to focus on work but by god can I hone in on making sure all my clothes are folded properly. Ahh, the joys of mental health! Here's to a good May!
